At Acoustic Traditions we offer a wide variety of musical lessons. We offer private Guitar lessons to suit many different tastes, from Metal to Jazz, Country to Classical, we’ve got you covered. We also offer one on one instruction for Bass, Drums, Piano, Vocals, and an all new DJ program.
Our Teachers

Chris Perry
Chris teaches acoustic, electric and bass guitar. He started playing the guitar at the age of 12. He specializes in playing Rock, Classic Rock and Metal. Chris has played with The Johnny Lane band and Shotgun nun. Favorite players include EddyVan Halen, Angus Young, Dimebag and Adam Jones. Hes been teaching music for 3 years now.

Daniel Labrash
Classical Guitar
Daniel’s formal training includes classical and flamenco technique with David Phillips in Toronto, and finger-style jazz with Peter Harris, former head of the Humber College guitar program.Daniel has been performing locally and in the GTA since 1984. Venues include Theatre Orangeville, The McMicheal Gallery in Kleinburg and many resorts and restaurants such as the prestigious Millcroft Inn in Alton.Two CDs, created with flutist, Susan Piltch have had national airplay on various radio stations.See Daniel on YouTube.

Dave Beazley
Dave teaches acoustic and electric guitar. He started playing the guitar at the age of 12 and plays all styles of music. favorites include pop, rock, jazz and blues. Dave listens to players like Jimi Hendrix, Wes Montgomery and Eric Clapton. Dave took a diploma course in Humber college of Music and also went to York University to take up Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and Education. Dave has been teaching music for 22 years. He’s played in groups like Motor City and Vegan Piranhas.
Heather Holmes
Heather teaches Piano,Vocals and music theory. She started singing at the age of 4 singing Jazz, R&B, neo-soul and pretty much any vocal style under the sun. She has been teaching music for 8 years now and has taught in several institutions in Iowa and New York City. She has played with Voices Iowa, Harlem gospel choir and the trio of R&B.

I.R. Ventura
I.R. teaches the Violin, Fiddle and also Acoustic/Electric Guitar. He started playing the Violin when he was 7 and the guitar when he was 10. He saw Jay Cayuca perform on television and decided he’d like to learn how to play the violin so he asked his mother to enroll him in the conservatory. He started with classical music and later branched out to fusion, rock and celtic playing. He studied in St.Scholastica’s Conservatory of music taking up Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music, Violin. He plays with local guys like Tim MacIntosh and MT bottle but he’s also the violinist for the awesome “Delaney” I.R.’s favorite players are Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Lane, John Mayer, Stevie RayVaughan. He’s been teaching for 8 years now.

Jeff Kralka
Jeff is another one of our talented guitar teachers. He started playing the guitar at the age of 12 and doesn’t favor any particular style but excels in all musical styles. Jeff studied finger-style guitar with Dan LaBrash and has been teaching music himself for 5 years now.

Liz Bronsveld
Violin
Starting at age 6 Liz fell in love with the art of the violin and magic of classical music. Since, she has played in many different quartets, orchestras and chamber music groups including first violin and solo parts. She started teaching in 2006 and loves working with kids of all ages.

Louis Helps
Louis is the new addition to our talented pool of teachers. He’s currently working on his grade 8 piano and teaches all styles and levels.

Matt Heath
One of our busiest instructors, Matt has been teaching for over a decade. He teaches both guitar and drums in all styles and levels. Matt’s favorite musical style is progressive instrumental and his favorite player is Thomas Lang.
If he’s not fiddling with a guitar, he’s also often seen practicing killer fills and rolls on the drums.
